About
We’re building the obligations engine
Every organization runs on obligations — rules, regulations, policies, contracts, operating requirements. They’re scattered, manual, and impossible to keep current. We’re building the control plane that turns them into living, auditable software.
Our mission
Make obligations something you can see, prove, and act on
Most software treats compliance as a fixed checklist for one framework. We think that’s too narrow. A regulation, an internal policy, a contract, an operating rule — they’re all the same underlying thing: an obligation. We’re building around that idea. We’re early, and figuring out the details in the open with the people who live this problem.
What we believe
The principles we’re building on
The beliefs shaping how we build.
Obligations are a primitive.
Not a checklist for one framework — a general thing every business runs on.
Software should act.
Not just record. With a human in the loop on the decisions that matter.
Everything is auditable.
Every answer traceable back to the source rule.
Honest about the stage.
We’re early, and we’d rather show our work than oversell it.
A note from us
We started KnotPath because every organization is bound by a growing web of obligations — and the tools to manage them stop at the edge of a single framework. We think there’s a better, more general way to do this, and that now is the first time it’s actually buildable.
We’re early — pre-product, in active customer discovery, building with a small group of design partners. If this problem is yours, we’d genuinely like to hear from you.
